The inauguration of the first scientific half-day of the French SUDI registry took place on July 3, 2024 at the national congress of centers of reference for unexpected infant death (CRMIN) in Nancy.
For the first time, scientists and experts presented their research work based on the registry’s data and samples.
The program included a review of the literature, a round-table discussion on SUDI and the environment, and the presentation of 3 scientific projects.
The event provided an opportunity both to highlight the enormous amount of work carried out by care teams when dealing with children who have died of SUDI, and to take stock of current knowledge and ongoing projects in this field.
The experience will be repeated in 2025, the 10th anniversary of the French SUDI registry, for which the national CRMIN congress will be held in Nantes.
